Camp Rules and Policies
Check-In & Check-Out
Welcome! Check-in is available any time after 1:00 p.m. If you plan to arrive later than 5:00 p.m., please give us a quick call to let us know. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
To help keep the campground peaceful, check-ins are not allowed after 10:00 p.m. unless you've made arrangements with us ahead of time. We kindly ask that campers are settled in by 11:00 p.m. so everyone can get a good night’s sleep.
Noise & Quiet Hours
We want every guest to have a relaxing, enjoyable stay—and that means being mindful of our neighbors. Whether you're here with your family, a Scout troop, or just enjoying a quiet getaway, please keep noise to a considerate level at all times.
Joyful daytime sounds like laughter and playing are welcome! But loud music, yelling, and other disruptive noises—especially after dark—can ruin the experience for others. Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and during this time, we ask everyone to keep voices low and avoid using noisy equipment.
Please note:
-
No generators are allowed.
-
Large parties with alcohol are discouraged.
-
Our staff does a friendly walk-through at 11:00 p.m. to remind campers about quiet hours. After that, we expect a calm, restful environment for all.
Pets:
We love pets—especially polite ones! Your furry companions are welcome here as long as they’re on a leash at all times and you clean up after them both inside and out. Let’s all help keep the grounds clean and safe for everyone.
Campfires
There's nothing like a cozy fire! Please keep fires within the designated fire circles at your site. And remember, no glass in the fire pits—let’s keep it safe and clean for all our guests.
Trash & Clean-Up
We ask all campers to dispose of trash properly in the provided dumpster. Please bag all garbage and don’t leave it out—this helps us avoid unwanted visits from insects and critters.
This is a rustic wilderness camp, not a hotel, so please help us keep everything tidy for the next guests. Clean up spills right away (especially liquids), as they can attract ants or damage the cabins and treehouses. We do regular cleaning and maintenance, but we appreciate your help in keeping the camp beautiful and ready for the next camper.
Leave No Trace
At Salisbury Camping, we live by the "Leave No Trace" philosophy. It’s all about respecting nature and each other. Please leave your site as nice—or nicer—than you found it. That means no damaging trees, no litter, and treating our beautiful setting with care.
Nuisance Fee
To ensure a peaceful experience for all, we have a $250 nuisance fee for major disruptions or disregard of the rules, including:
-
Loud noise after 11:00 p.m. (especially after two warnings)
-
Damaging trees or property
-
Leaving trash, toilet tissue, or glass on the ground
-
Bringing extra guests without checking in
-
Not cleaning up after pets
-
Spilling liquids inside cabins and not wiping them up
-
Using grills or fireplaces improperly
In extreme cases, we may ask you to leave and not return. These fees help us preserve the peace and natural beauty of the campground for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

We’re here to offer a magical outdoor experience—but safety and awareness are key to enjoying it to the fullest.
